Case Background

Reseo is a corporate digital identity solution transforming how the legal verification of corporate documents is managed by counterparties at onboarding stage, in the investment funds industry. Founded by industry experts Luuk Jacobs and Pierre-Yves Rahari, the company offers a technology-driven product that connects institutional investors and fund distributors to onboarding platforms across the investment industry, aiming to remove friction from the process.

With a growing team already established in the UK, Reseo sought to expand by bringing in global talent. One of their consultants, Parvati, had previously worked remotely with the business, beginning as a global intern before moving into a consulting role. Reseo wanted to bring her into a permanent position within their UK company to support important ongoing projects.

The Situation

Before Parvati could formally take up her role in the UK, there were several matters to address:

  • Sponsor Licence Needed: The company had not yet obtained a sponsor licence, which is required to hire non-UK nationals into UK-based skilled roles.
  • Compliance During UK Visits: Prior to joining full-time, Parvati visited the UK on a business visit visa. Advice was needed to ensure that the company remained compliant while she was attending meetings and exploring longer-term arrangements.
  • Tight Timeline: The company had active projects underway and wanted Parvati to be in place quickly.
  • Cross-Border Coordination: Parvati was also travelling between France and India, so timing the application around her movements was an important factor.

Our Approach

QC Immigration supported Reseo with end-to-end planning and application management. Our role included:

  • Initial Compliance Advice: We advised the company on maintaining appropriate processes while Parvati was visiting on a business visa, ensuring clarity around permitted activities.
  • Sponsor Licence Application: We prepared and submitted the sponsor licence application, working closely with the business to ensure all required information was in place.
  • Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS): Once the licence was approved, we arranged the CoS and supported the company through each administrative step.
  • Visa Planning Around Travel: Parvati’s international travel was factored into the application timing to ensure she could proceed without delay or disruption to her existing commitments.
  • Clear, Coordinated Communication: Throughout, we maintained transparent communication with both the company and the applicant, helping all parties move forward with clarity and confidence.

The Outcome

  • Sponsor Licence Approved: Reseo was granted a sponsor licence and was able to proceed with hiring.
  • Visa Application Successfully Completed: Parvati was able to join the UK team without delay, contributing to high-priority projects.
  • Processes Integrated into Business Operations: With support from QC Immigration, the company integrated immigration compliance into its hiring workflow, freeing up internal time to focus on delivering value.

Summary

By supporting both the company and the applicant through the necessary UK immigration steps, we helped Reseo build their UK team with minimal disruption. Our approach gave the business the confidence to move forward while staying compliant and focused on their wider goals.
